Appreciation for the Mystery

God loves you.

You just brushed off that statement didn’t you? It is something you have heard countless times that you already know. Did you forget the weight behind those words? They have become a cliché and the cross a traditional tale.

If this is true for you, you need a fresh revelation of God’s love.

It is time to go back to the foundation – back to the cross. It is so elementary that a child can understand it, and at the same time so deep and complex that we cannot fully comprehend it. What a love – sacrificial and unconditional. Yet, we brush it off when we hear about it. The love of God has become like 1+1 to us – you know it off the top of your head, but it is not something that has come out of a truth that saturates your heart.

God loves you.

Feel the weight and the impact of that. The one who created the vast beauty we see in the clear night sky, in the storms, in the sunrise, in the life that is all around to see, loves and cares for you.

When you have a deep revelation of this love, it changes everything. It is your very foundation. This love goes beyond what you know, and is the core of who you are when you allow Christ to reign in your heart. Today I pray Ephesians 3:16-19 for you:

“16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19 (NKJV)

Do you know the love of Christ in your heart? Is it a knowing that saturates your entire being?

I challenge you to dive into the word about the Love of God this week. Read about the crucifixion and resurrection. Make it personal. He did this for you. May this truth saturate your soul this week.

Bless!

I have been praying fervently about a situation for several months now. I am beginning to see how God is being faithful in answering that prayer. The best part is that I feel His love when I find myself pouring out my heart and listening. His sacrifice is beyond my comprehension, and I’m amazed that He will even listen to someone like me, but He does because He loves me! Awesome!
