21 Days of Never-the-Same – Day 12

A few years back I began going to an event called “Sacrifice of Prayer” at my church. It was once a month with non-stop prayer all night, Friday to Saturday. Members of the congregation would sign up for “shifts” and pray at the church during those hours. We had set up stations around the sanctuary of different things to pray for. You were there long enough to visit every station. There were stations for praying for our government, praying for our families, praying for the church, praying for the ministries and missionaries the church supports and several others. There was one that every time I went that I would find myself drawn to:

Praying the names of God.

This station held nothing but a listing with the names of God. I would stand there for the longest time to simply speak out and pray the names of God. There is such a power in declaring who He is. All of these names and they express the very essence of His character. It is incredible!

Who is He to you?

What revelation of His character do you need where you are at right now?
